A bridge is a prosthetic device that replaces missing teeth. It can be the “fixed” (cemented) kind or the removable type.

For the fixed bridge the teeth can on both sides of the missing tooth or teeth are reshaped and then an impression is taken to make a model of your mouth.

The laboratory then fabricates a solid piece to fill in the area. The removable kind is also called a removable partial denture or removable bridge.
